(1) "Board" means the Snohomish County Veterans Assistance Fund Executive Board.

(2) "Commander" means the legally recognized commanding officer of a veteran’s organization.

(3) "Department" means the Snohomish County Human Services Department for administration of veterans’ assistance funds.

(4) "Division Manager" means the manager of the Behavioral Health and Veterans’ Service Division of the Snohomish County Human Services Department.

(5) "Veterans’ Service Officer" means the program staff for the administration of the Snohomish County Veterans’ Assistance Fund. The veterans’ service officer will be an employee of the Snohomish County Human Services Department, Behavioral Health and Veterans’ Services Division.

(6) "Veteran" has the meaning set out in RCW 41.04.005.

(7) "Veteran’s organization" means any post, camp or chapter of a national organization of veterans now, or which may after the effective date of this ordinance be, chartered by an act of Congress.

(8) "Staff" means employee(s) of the Snohomish County Human Services Department. (Added by Ord. 95-088, Nov. 1, 1995, Eff date Nov. 11, 1995; Amended by Ord. 17-041, Aug. 2, 2017, Eff date Aug. 17, 2017).
