2.430.030 Powers and duties of the board.
The board shall adopt policies and procedures as necessary to perform the duties of the board. Staff may be assigned to assist with the operation of the board. The board shall have the following powers and duties.
(1) Recommend guidelines, policies and procedures to the division manager for expenditures from the veterans’ assistance fund.
(2) Advise the county executive and the department on the budget for the veterans’ assistance fund.
(3) Members of the board may be invited by the division manager to partake in the consideration of applicants for vacant veterans’ service officer positions.
