The director shall develop and maintain a classification plan for all positions of employment with the county. Such plan shall be submitted to and approved by the council. The classification plan shall consist of an index of class titles for each class of positions within the classified service arranged by: (1) Broad job categories; (2) Occupational groups within job categories; and (3) Class series within such occupational groups. The director shall administer the plan and may make recommendations to the council for revisions to the plan. (Added by Ord. 84-129 § 2, Nov. 21, 1984).
