(1) The regulations in this section apply to cottage housing in zones where such use is permitted.

(2) Existing single family detached dwellings may be retained as part of a cottage housing development and do not count towards density calculations.

(3) Detached and attached accessory dwelling units are prohibited within a cottage housing development unless the detached or attached accessory dwelling unit was constructed as part of an existing single family detached dwelling that is proposed to remain pursuant to subsection (2) of this section.

(4) Where there is a conflict between a provision of this chapter and a provision in another chapter in this title, the requirements of this chapter shall apply.
