(1) "County" means Snohomish County.

(2) "Eligible employee" means a regular full time or regular part time employee with at least five years of combined service to Snohomish County, the Snohomish County superior court and/or the Snohomish County district court, but shall not include elected officials or department heads.

(3) "Executive" means the Snohomish County executive.

(4) "Layoff notice" means a notice of layoff or reduction in force as described in WAC 192-150-100 and/or WAC 192-320-070(3)(g).

(5) "Program" or "VSP" means the Snohomish County voluntary separation program established in this chapter.

(6) "Participation agreement" means a binding contract between the county and an eligible employee detailing the terms and consideration related to a voluntary resignation from employment under the program.

(7) "Retirement ready" means an individual that is eligible and able to retire from a Washington State retirement system on or before December 31st of the current calendar year. (Added by Amended Ord. 20-058, Oct. 19, 2020, Eff date Oct. 30, 2020).
