5.04.080 Jail services contracts.
For every proposed new jail services contract pursuant to RCW 39.34.180, proposed renewal of a jail services contract pursuant to RCW 39.34.180, and proposed amendment to a jail services contract pursuant to RCW 39.34.180 entered into on or after January 1, 2022:
(1) The sheriff shall coordinate with the county’s office of budget and finance to identify all anticipated costs, both direct and indirect, to provide jail services. The sheriff shall use this information to develop the jail services contract, renewal, or amendment between the contracting entity and the county.
(2) The sheriff shall include in the county’s anticipated cost for jail services the cost of risk management. (Added by Amended Ord. 20-085, Jan. 20, 2021, Eff date Jan. 30, 2021).
