Pursuant to Chapter 124 of the Laws of 1980, Washington State Legislature, the Washington State Legislature has granted to county legislative authorities the authority to establish a fee to be collected pursuant to the issuance of a marriage license to help provide funds for the maintenance and operation of family court.
