"Dredging" means the removal of earth, sand, sludge or other materials from below the ordinary high water mark of a stream, river, lake, bay or other waterbody. However, the creation of temporary depressions or contour alterations on tidelands or bedlands through the use of aquaculture harvesting equipment approved by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife shall not be construed to be dredging.

This definition applies only to "Shoreline" regulations in chapters 30.44 and 30.67 SCC. (Added by Amended Ord. 12-025, June 6, 2012, Eff date July 27, 2012).
