Any person dissatisfied with an explanatory statement prepared or reviewed and approved pursuant to RCW 29A.32.241 may, within five business days from the date set forth in the administrative rules for the local voters’ pamphlet for filing the explanatory statement with the county auditor’s office, appeal to the superior court for Snohomish county by petition. The petition shall set forth the proposed measure, the explanatory statement, and the objection thereto, and shall request amendment of the explanatory statement. A copy of the petition shall be served on the county auditor and the attorney who prepared or reviewed and approved the explanatory statement. The court shall, upon filing of the petition, examine the proposed measure, the explanatory statement, and the objection thereto and may hear argument thereon and shall, as soon as possible, render its decision and certify to and file with the county auditor such explanatory statement as it determines will meet the requirements of this chapter and RCW 29A.32.241. The decision of the superior court shall be final.
