(1) There is hereby established a single district court in Snohomish County, to be known as the Snohomish county district court. The boundaries of the district court district shall be the boundaries of the county.

(2) The district court district shall be divided into four electoral districts for the purpose of electing district court judges by subcounty local districts as provided in RCW 3.38.070. District court judges having the qualifications set out in RCW 3.34.060 shall be elected pursuant to RCW 3.34.050 by registered voters of the electoral districts for which they file declarations of candidacy. The boundaries of the electoral districts are described in SCC 2.12.020, 2.12.030, 2.12.040 and 2.12.050.
