The Snohomish county planning commission is hereby created and shall be referred to in this chapter as the commission. The commission is created pursuant to charter sections 2.20 and 11.30 and shall serve as an advisory body to the council and executive. The commission shall perform the functions of a planning commission under chapter 36.70 RCW with regard to the preparation of any comprehensive plans and official controls and amendments thereto which are adopted by the county under the authority of chapter 36.70 RCW. The commission shall also perform such other and additional duties as the council shall, from time to time, direct by ordinance. (Added by Amended Ord. 93-034, Apr. 28, 1993).
